Created in the U.S. as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization in April 2003, the DAAR Charitable Foundation actively raises and provides funds to finance projects related to the revival of the people and culture of post-Soviet era Ukraine.

Among its many past projects, the DAAR Foundation has and continues to support a number of foster children's schools benefiting the blind and mentally challenged. In addition, DAAR also works toward educating all Ukrainians about the World War II Holocaust and Holodomor (Stalin's forced famine which killed millions in Ukraine in the 1930's.)

Beyond the past and the minds of the future, DAAR also works toward returning Ukrainian culture back to Ukraine, as evidenced by the return of 140 paintings which escaped the country with renowned painter, Vasyl Krychevsky.

If you, your organization or someone you know is interested in donating your time or money toward the benefit of Ukrainian culture, please visit our Contact Page for more information.
